A Household Within the Kingdom of Caid
The combat shall be double elimination style, except that a second ransom may be gained by demonstration of a recent Art or Science effort. Entries will be on display for the populace to admire in a static exhibit. Fighters with an arts entry will be given a token to be redeemed at the list table for a second life. Additionally, the skills of our valiant competitors will be rewarded in a second (optional) challenge. A special prize will be awarded to the Most Well-Rounded Fighter of the day. Entrants are encouraged to sign up at gate and enter all of our contests throughout the day (designed not it interfere with the fighting tourney).
Art & Science theme of the day is weapons, armour and the fighting arts with extra points given for period and/or document entries (also counts toward your second life). Our Bardic judges are ready throughout the day to hear your war songs, epic ballads or fighting tales with extra points for period/ or in the style of period and/or documented performances. Mini contests include a test in heraldic terms, draw your how arms and embroidered favours, supplies provided by the barony. All members of the noble and skilled populace are invited to join us in these contests.
